On Saturday, following talks between the United States and Belarus, 123 prisoners were released and pardoned by Alyaksandr Lukashenka. They included three of the most prominent Belarusians who remained behind bars: Nobel laureate Ales Bialiatski, and opposition leaders Maryia Kalesnikava and Viktar Babaryka.
